Sony Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z Receive Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update

Last month only Sony had rolled out media update for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Z Ultra, which brings a lot of new changes with the addition of many new features, however, the Android version remains the same. With this news, the hope to get the recently released Android v.4.3 Jelly Bean platform for these handsets has been shattered. These four Xperia smartphones will also get a new feature with this firmware update, which will enable them to active the Google Now app by holding the Home button. Earlier Sony has also released firmware updates for its old Xperia handsets, namely Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia Acro S and Xperia SP.

The updation to Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system is expected to fix the small bugs that were found in these handsets while working on some applications.
